Empty Fruit Bunch Briquettes & Pellets
Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) is a by-product of the palm oil extraction process, consisting of the fibrous material left after the fruit has been removed.
While EFB is a valuable biomass source for renewable energy, its high content of Potassium(K), Chlorine (CI) and other inorganic elements can cause significant operational problem in biomass boilers, such as slagging, fouling and corrosion.
The water wash system is a pre-treatment method designed to mitigate these issues by removing these contaminants from EFB, making it a more efficient and cleaner fuel for energy production.
The EFB wash system involves multiple stages to ensure the effective removal of potassium, chlorine and other contaminants. Each stage is critical to achieving the desired purity and quality of treated EFB, culminating in the palletization of the material into pellets or briquettes.
